Portable dynamic rebound (Leeb) hardness tester for on-site inspection of large components, finished parts, and heat-treated surfaces — converts to HRC, HRB, HV, HB, and more.
The TIME 5102 is a portable dynamic rebound (Leeb) hardness tester for rapid, non-destructive on-site hardness inspection of metals. Based on the Leeb rebound principle invented in Switzerland in 1975, it measures hardness in the HL (Leeb) scale and automatically converts to HRC, HRB, HRA, HV, HB, HS, and N/mm² — without moving the part to a laboratory.
The TIME 5102 is a portable dynamic rebound hardness tester based on the Leeb principle — the most widely adopted method for on-site hardness testing of metals worldwide. When the spring-driven impact body strikes the test surface and rebounds, the ratio of rebound velocity to impact velocity is measured electromagnetically and expressed as the Leeb hardness value (HL). This ratio directly correlates with the material hardness and is automatically converted to all common hardness scales by the instrument's built-in conversion algorithms.
The TIME 5102 supports multiple interchangeable impact devices — D (standard), DC (small radius for curved surfaces), DL (tube interiors), C (thin sections), G (high hardness), and E (austenitic steels) — covering virtually any test geometry encountered in industrial practice. Impact direction compensation allows measurements in any orientation: horizontal, vertical upward or downward, and at any angle.
With 500-measurement memory, USB connectivity, and PC data transfer software, the TIME 5102 provides complete data management for traceability and reporting. Its compact size (impact device weighs less than 100 g) and battery life exceeding 100 hours make it the ideal companion for field inspection teams.
