About the Sync 400

The Sync 400 from 3P Instruments is a versatile combined physisorption and chemisorption analyzer that eliminates the need for two separate instruments in a surface analysis laboratory. Its dual-port volumetric system measures full adsorption-desorption isotherms using nitrogen at 77 K, argon at 87 K, CO₂ at 273 K, or any other adsorptive gas — enabling comprehensive pore characterization from 0.35 nm (micropores) to 500 nm (large mesopores).

The same instrument also supports temperature-programmed chemisorption experiments using the integrated TCD detector and furnace, covering TPR, TPO, TPD, and pulse chemisorption protocols without any sample transfer — preserving sample integrity and saving valuable analysis time.

The 3P-Win software includes a complete library of DFT and NLDFT kernel models for state-of-the-art pore size distribution analysis of microporous and mesoporous materials, including zeolites, activated carbons, silicas, MOFs, and mixed oxide catalysts.
