Precision eddy current instrument for non-destructive coating thickness measurement on non-ferrous metal substrates including aluminum, copper, brass, and zinc.
The SR-SCOPE® DMP30 uses the eddy current measurement principle to accurately measure the thickness of non-conductive coatings on non-ferrous metal substrates such as aluminum, copper, brass, and zinc alloys. With interchangeable probes and a rugged design, it is equally suited for laboratory and production line environments.
The SR-SCOPE® DMP30 from helmut fischer employs the eddy current principle to measure the thickness of non-conductive coatings on non-ferrous conductive substrates. When the probe is placed on the sample, it generates a high-frequency alternating magnetic field. The presence of a conductive substrate modifies the field in a way that is directly related to the distance between the probe coil and the substrate surface — i.e., the coating thickness.
This non-destructive technique works without direct electrical contact and requires no coupling medium, making it fast, clean, and suitable for delicate or production-sensitive surfaces. The probe range covers aluminum, copper, brass, bronze, zinc, titanium, and other non-ferrous metals.
The DMP30 platform accepts multiple probe types optimized for different measurement scenarios — flat surfaces, curved geometries, and small measurement areas — providing the flexibility needed for diverse industrial applications.
